Job Description:
Engineers House is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality videos for online courses, promotional materials, and educational content. You will work closely with instructors and the marketing team to bring ideas to life through compelling visuals and engaging edits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit video footage into polished, professional-quality videos for online courses, social media, and promotional campaigns.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and sound effects to enhance the viewer’s experience.
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure the content aligns with the course objectives and Engineers House branding.
- Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of all video materials.
- Optimize videos for different platforms (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, and online learning platforms).
- Ensure high-quality audio and visual standards are met in all productions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Knowledge of motion graphics tools like Adobe After Effects.
- Basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Familiarity with video formats, compression techniques, and best practices for online platforms.
- Experience with color grading, sound editing, and subtitle integration.
- Creative Skills:
- Strong storytelling abilities and an eye for visual composition.
- Ability to transform raw footage into engaging content that captures attention.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and instructors.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience.
- Prior experience in educational or corporate video production is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of eLearning trends and online course video formats.
- Understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) terminology or engineering-related topics is a bonus.
